Hair & Makeup Artist Shaina Ehrlich grew up in Rockland County but spent a lot of time in New York City during her formative years. Both of her parents were from Brooklyn and her grandparents still live in Chelsea.
She got her start in the business as an apprentice for Wig & Makeup designer, Dave Bova. Her grandmother (who was an actress) introduced them. He quickly took her under his wing and taught her everything he knew about hair, makeup, and people. After working with him she branched out of the theatrical realm and began assisting hair and makeup artists in the fashion/tv/film/commercial world while compiling an impressive array of her own editorial and commercial work and clients.
Shaina’s style is natural but elevated and her goal is to make everyone to feel comfortable in her chair. She wants her clients to feel like they can take on anything. She understands that being in front of the camera isn't always easy and she strives to make the process as seamless as possible for them. Shaina loves the collaborative process and tries to take inspiration from every person she works with. She is passionate about connecting and collaborating with fellow creatives and looks at every project as the the opportunity to create something amazing.
Shaina is based in NYC.
